It is the experience of relocation and dislocation that has created a tension between artist's systematic approach and an individual, fragmented or somewhat chaotic one. Artist grew up in Soviet Lithuania but has studied and worked in UK and SA, from major cities to tiny rural villages, since 1999. Selected drawings on fabric focus on the role of an artist moving from being as someone present and absent at other times. The slow, house-wife like relationship with materials and long preparation time (washing, ironing) allow explorations of the emerging narratives.
